La Academia de la Televisión de Estados Unidos ha anunciado esta tarde, en un evento presentado por Leslie Jones, la lista de series nominadas a la 72 edición de los premios Emmy, los galardones más importantes de la industria televisiva. Este año, además, las votaciones estarán especialmente reñidas, ya que la pandemia ha disparado el consumo de televisión, a lo que hay que sumar la llegada al mercado de gigantes como AppleTV+ y Disney+.
La gala de entrega de estos premios sigue programada para el 20 de septiembre en un formato que ni el propio presentador, Jimmy Kimmel, conoce. “No sé dónde, cómo o incluso por qué haremos esto, pero lo haremos y lo presentaré”, bromeó Kimmel cuando se confirmó que habrá gala para los primeros premios de la temporada, aunque se espera que sea digital, como la recién anunciada ceremonia de los premios Ariel en México.
